Barron County Restorative Justice Programs offers orientations and trainings, for communities, based in the principals of Restorative Justice. Examples of communities include, but are not limited to, school systems, law enforcement, court systems, church communities, or an entire county. Orientations are designed to inform key stakeholders from the community about the principles of Restorative Justice; and how those principles can be carried out through strong programs. Orientations require approximately three hours. Trainings are designed to meet the specific needs of each unique community. Trainings are offered in Victim Offender Conferencing, Victim Impact Panels, Restorative Teen Court and Restorative Practices for School Communities. Training times could be anywhere from three hours to 40 hours, depending on which programs you select, and your community's needs. You may contact Barron County Restorative Justice Programs, Inc. for more information. In the community of Barron County we offer on-going training for our facilitators and volunteers. Each month an opportunity is provided for facilitators and volunteers to meet so they may share their experiences, deepen their knowledge, and get updates on what is happening with Barron County Restorative Justice Programs. The facilitators and volunteers have been, and continue to be, the source of inspiration for changes in, and expansion of, the programs. |
