 RESTORATIVE ACTION PLAN (RAP)

What is the Restorative Action Plan (RAP)?

The RAP Program is an opportunity for the offender to repay those who were harmed and develop responsibility and decision making skills in the process. There is an opportunity for a young offender to provide a service to their community in lieu of a citation. This opportunity will use education and community service hours as a way for you to restore yourself with the school and community.

Who refers cases?

Cases are referred to Barron County Restorative Justice Programs by law enforcement and the Barron County Restorative Justice Teen Court program.

Why Should An Offender Be Interested In This Program?

It will provide a way for first-time offenders to keep their records clean. Also the municipal citation will be waived upon completion of the program.

How Is RAP a Part of the Barron County Restorative Justice Plan?

Restorative Action Program helps juvenile offenders restore their relationships with the community through alternative methods of adjudicating minor juvenile offenses.  This includes programs that teach responsibility and positive decision-making.
