Anger Management

When a person takes charge of their feelings,
they can take charge of their behaviors.

“Take Charge” Anger Management is a four-hour workshop consisting of two sessions that are two hours long.

The first session focuses on the teen’s anger, and invites each teen participant to work on defining anger, identifying their triggers, and understanding how stress and anger can be connected. Participants leave the first session with coping strategies and a homework assignment to complete and bring with them to the next session.

The second session focuses on responding to the anger of others and expressions of anger that are beyond their control. In this session, teens deepen the discussion of coping mechanisms and learn tools to communicate their emotions effectively. Altogether, the goal of this workshop is to give teens basic skills to deal with anger so that they can take greater responsibility for improving their lives and their relationships.

Taking charge amounts to taking the ‘charge’ out of anger.
