Victim Offender Conferencing

There were four referrals for VOC in the month of March.  Referrals were received from:

Eight cases were successfully closed and one case sent back to the referral source.  Currently there are eight open cases assigned out or in varying stages, awaiting fulfillment of Agreements.  In addition:

 

Teen Court

There were eight referrals to Teen Court in March:

            1 from Chad Brakke of RLHS

            5 from Shannon Robinson of DHHS

            1 from Turtle Lake PD Chief Al Gabe

            1 from Officer Reinikainen of RLPD

           

Three cases were successfully closed.

Two teen are performing community service by serving jury duty.

Nine intakes were held.

Five respondents went through Teen Court.

One case was sent back to the referral source.

There are currently 20 open Teen Court cases in varying stages.

Two Teen Court sessions were held during the month of March, hearing a total of four cases, two in Rice Lake and two in Barron.

Rice Lake Teen Court for March 31 was cancelled because of snowy weather.

Rice Lake Teen Court Club met on March 12.

Barron Teen Court Club met on March 17.

Lory made a Restorative Justice presentation to Lynn Kolpack’s Love and Logic parenting class at Woodland Elementary School in Barron.

§         Monika set up a field trip for the staff to visit Northwest Passage in Frederic. It was an enlightening trip. We learned what programs they offer and what kind of assessment services they provide for the State of Wisconsin.

§         We had 117 attend the annual meeting at Lehman’s Angie did a wonderful job reminding us that “The Dream is Alive”
